Most Commonly Used Micropigmentation Procedures

Currently, the most common procedures performed include lash liner, full eyebrows and enhancement, lip liner, full lip color, nipple-areola simulation and scar camouflage.

Lash Liner - Micropigmentation is performed to cosmetically enhance the eyelid margin. Lash liner gives the appearance of fuller and thicker eyelashes. Pigment is placed along the lash line in small dots, creating a soft, subtle halo around the eyes. Heavy or light liner can be applied, depending on one's preference. The color of the eyelashes, eyebrows, hair roots and iris is examined in choosing the correct pigment to enhance your facial features.

Eyebrows - Micropigmentation is performed to cosmetically re-create or fill the brow area. Pigment is placed in the brow area with a brush-stroke technique that simulates the cilia (brow hair). Colors are blended to match the patient's hair color and skin tone.

Lip Liner - Micropigmentation is performed too effectively outline as well as fill in the vermilion area (the full lips). Thin lips can easily be made to look fuller and larger. Overfull lips can be made to look smaller. Lips that have been subject to some type of traumatic injury may achieve a look of normality. Pigment choice is usually darker than the natural color of the vermilion border and natural looks are advised. If the full lips are done, you can still wear conventional make-up overtop.

Nipple-Areola - Micropigmentation is performed and is cosmetically effective to recreate the natural color of the areola area following breast reconstruction. The nipple is also re-created using a variety of pigmenting techniques.

Scars - Micropigmentation is performed to camouflage scarred or depigmented (hypopigmentation) areas of the skin. Flesh colored pigments are blended to closely match the natural skin tones.

Quality Control

To ensure quality performance Walter J. Hlembizky, Justin Cope and The DermoCare Clinic Inc. have taken all the necessary steps to ensure customer satisfaction. During your initial consultation a pre-operative evaluation is performed. You are encouraged to ask questions and to establish realistic expectations of your procedure. A medical history will be taken and you are asked if you have a history of allergies, especially allergies to paints, crayons, or makeup. Since all of these contain iron, it may suggest a potential sensitivity to ferrous oxide pigments, commonly used in most color pigments. Following your medical review a test patch will be performed, which is done behind the ear in the hairline. You will be rechecked in 2-10 days. If there is no reaction, the Micropigmentation procedure can be performed. A variety of pigments are available for each procedure. A color analysis system is used to precisely identify the appropriate colors that uniquely complement your hair, skin and eye colors

All necessary precautions have been taken to avoid potential risks and complications. Your personal safety is The DermoCare Clinic's number one priority. Sterilization, pain control to minimize any discomfort and precise techniques are your reassurance that our goal is perfection.
